L’Occitane promotes summer fragrances with metaverse shop

A French global beauty brand is launching its fourth seasonal metaverse storefront.

L’Occitane en Provence is launching a new metaverse shopping experience, “The Greenhouse,” spotlighting its range of summer fragrances, based on the Emperia virtual store platform. The Greenhouse follows the company’s previous Emperia-based seasonal metaverse promotions, a store honoring the Islamic holiday Ramadan in March-April 2024, a holiday virtual store in November 2023 and its previous summer storefront in July 2023.

Placed in a greenhouse in the summer fields of the French region of Provence, the virtual store is comprised of three rooms – a main hall which features the brand’s women’s collections on its rose, cherry blossom and lavenders scents; a woodsy men’s collection room in a forest-like atmosphere; and a Middle East oasis, a regional lounge-like room featuring local scents.


The new virtual store is also intended to educate consumers on the fragrances, showcasing their craftsmanship and locally-sourced ingredients. Customers can now purchase the L’Occitane summer fragrance range at the new metaverse store, available in a dedicated section of the company’s e-commerce site.
