Sharjah24: Engineer Abdullah Khalid bin Kuwir, a civil engineer at the Sharjah Housing Department (DOH) , stated that the Department launched the interactive “Sakani” platform, which uses virtual reality technology “Metaverse” to provide an exceptional experience for beneficiaries. The idea was inspired to face challenges in imagining what housing looks like from the inside and outside, and seeing the three dimensions of spaces.
Engineer Abdullah Bin Kuwir affirmed in exclusive statements to “Sharjah 24” that the platform allows users to fully control dimensions and sizes, add and customize furniture of various types, in addition to choosing the interior and exterior flooring of the residence. The Housing Department aims, through this platform, to enable beneficiaries to see their homes as they would actually be built.
The engineer added that among the plans that can be used on the platform, the Al Saf Residential Complex plan is presented, which includes a variety of residential units, as this innovative use of virtual reality technology is part of the Housing Department’s efforts to improve the housing search experience and provide comprehensive information to beneficiaries. .
